Confidence Interval Calculator:
To use the Confidence Interval Calculator plugin, follow these steps:
- Enter the Sample Mean: Input the average value of your sample data.
- Enter the Sample Standard Deviation: Input the standard deviation value, which represents the variability of your sample data.
- Enter the Sample Size: Specify the number of items in your sample. This should be a whole number greater than zero.
- Enter the Confidence Level: Choose your confidence level as a percentage (e.g., 90, 95, or 99). This represents how confident you are in the interval estimation.
- Calculate: Click the “Calculate Confidence Interval” button. The calculator will display:
- Lower Bound: The lowest value in the confidence interval.
- Upper Bound: The highest value in the confidence interval.
- Margin of Error: The range of values above and below the sample mean within which the true population mean is expected to fall.
- Reset: Click the “Reset” button to clear all fields and results to start a new calculation.
